Nomad Cruise is more than the ship days — it's a community that gathers in real life multiple times a year. The cruise itself is the centerpiece, but the days before (the pre-union) and the weeks after (the reunion) are where a lot of the magic actually happens.

If you've never been on one of our cruises, here's how it works — and why most people plan to arrive a few days early and stay after.


✈️ The pre-union — a few days to a week before each cruise

We meet up in the cruise departure city a few days to a week before boarding. It's completely optional — most cruisers come early to make it part of the trip.

What we do:

Why it matters: by the time you board the ship, you already know 20-30 people. The cruise feels completely different when you walk on board waving to faces you've already met.


🌴 The reunion — 1-3 weeks (or more) after disembarking

After the cruise docks, the community continues on land. Typical reunion length is 1-3 weeks, though plenty of people stay longer or hop between reunion destinations on the same trip.
