Embarkation Info

Albatros Expeditions will arrange bus transportation for all guests from Ushuaia city center to the vessel on embarkation day. Walking to the vessel on your own will not be possible.

Below is the standard embarkation process—please note that slight changes to this schedule are possible.

Luggage Drop-Off

In compliance with port regulations set by the Argentine Maritime Authority, all guest luggage must be delivered to the vessel together. All luggage will be tagged with your name and cabin number at the drop off storage, and it will be transferred directly to the vessel. Please keep essential items such as your passport, travel documents, medications, and any fragile items (like computers) with you, as you will not have access to your luggage until you are on board.

Important: We encourage you to allocate sufficient time for luggage drop-off and ensure punctuality for your scheduled transfer from the meeting point.

After dropping off your luggage, you will be assigned a specific transfer time to board the vessel. Please be aware that walking to the port and boarding on your own is not permitted for security reasons; you must take the designated transfer at the scheduled time.

Transfer to the Vessel

Meeting Point: Av. Maipu 1210 (next to Malvinas Square), Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego. Please look for Albatros Expeditions sign. Transfer Times: Buses to the vessel will depart at the following times based on your designated schedule: • 15:00 • 15:15 • 15:30 • 15:45 Please be aware that there may be a short wait for buses. To enhance your experience, we need to ensure that our vessel is ready to welcome you. Therefore, we will not begin receiving guests before 15:00.

Embarkation Process

Upon boarding the vessel, all guests are requested to proceed to the designated check-in area onboard. Please have your passport ready. Once checked in, you will receive your cabin keycards.

After receiving your keycards, please proceed to your cabin and verify that your luggage has been correctly delivered.

We kindly ask that all guests be ready for the safety briefing on board, which will take place by 18:00. The vessel will depart from Ushuaia shortly afterward to begin the expedition.

Important Reminders

• Ensure you meet all entry requirements, including having the necessary documents such as valid passports, visas, and any testing or vaccination requirements set by the Argentinian government or transit countries. • Bring proof of travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and evacuation, as required by Albatros Expeditions. • Don’t forget to bring waterproof pants, as they are essential for Zodiac cruises and landings.
