🌴 The cruise arrives in La Romana on 16 November 2026. The Dominican Republic and wider Caribbean are stunning - the perfect place to extend your adventure with fellow NC18 participants. We will organize informal meetups at different destinations - we will share the details closer to the departure date.
La Romana is a charming port city on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. The port is well-organised for cruise arrivals. We recommend staying in La Romana for 3 days.
💡 We strongly advise not booking early morning flights on disembarkation day — the process takes time. Aim for afternoon departures at the earliest, or better yet, stay a few extra days!
A stunning replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village perched above the Chavón River, just 3km from the port. Features art galleries, craft shops, an archaeological museum, and a 5,000-seat amphitheatre. A must-visit.
One of the Caribbean's most acclaimed luxury resorts, adjacent to the port. World-class golf, polo, tennis, and beaches — day passes available.
A beautiful uninhabited island a short boat ride from La Romana. Great snorkelling, clear water, and white sand beaches.
A charming fishing village ~20 mins from La Romana, with excellent diving and snorkelling around nearby Parque Nacional del Este.
