Being one of the world's most beautiful cities, we're excited to invite you to arrive a bit earlier and explore Vancouver with us. That's why we're organizing our official kick-off event already on the 25th. If you can't make it for that day and can only join us just before departure, don't worry – otherwise we will be very happy to see you there.
Arriving early is a great opportunity to meet other cruisers and discover Vancouver together.
On the evening of the 25th, we will meet up at Yaletown Brewing Company from 6pm for our first official NC13 Meet Up.

Where to stay
Accommodation costs in Vancouver are somewhat high, and we recommend staying in a location that suits your budget and preferences. The city's transportation system makes it easy to travel around. However, if you prefer to stay close to other cruisers, we recommend staying in Kitsilano, near Downtown Vancouver.

Things to do in Vancouver
- Hike & Bike: Exploring Stanley Park and the Seawall by bike is a fantastic way to soak in the city's beauty. You could rent a bike and cruise along the waterfront, stopping for photo ops at iconic landmarks like the Lions Gate Bridge. For a challenging hike, Grouse Grind (the "Stairway to Heaven") offers incredible rewards with panoramic city views.
- Granville Island: Wander through the Public Market, explore artisan shops, and enjoy waterfront dining.
- Capilano Suspension Bridge: Experience the thrill of walking across this famous suspension bridge and explore the Treetops Adventure and Cliffwalk.
- Gastown: Stroll through this historic neighborhood, see the famous Steam Clock, and enjoy trendy boutiques and restaurants.
- Kitsilano Beach: Relax on the sandy beach, swim in the ocean, or visit the outdoor saltwater pool.
- Vancouver Aquarium: Located in Stanley Park, it’s a great place to learn about marine life.
- Queen Elizabeth Park: Visit the Bloedel Conservatory, enjoy the beautiful gardens, and take in the city views.
- Chinatown: Explore one of the oldest and largest Chinatowns in North America, including the tranquil Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden.
- Lynn Canyon Park: Hike through the forest and cross the free suspension bridge.
- Lonsdale Quay: This is a nice area on the North shore, across from downtown. It's more upscale, but offers beautiful views of the city. Check for any events happening over the weekend, as there might be something fun nearby. You can take the seabus from downtown. It's part of the transport system and is a boat ride that takes 12 minutes.
